Thailand Chiang Rai Saked Dao
The coffee is sourced from Chiang Rai region in Thailand where the infamous Doi Chaang started. During harvest season, Saked Dao Farm originally began with 5,000 coffee trees, expanding rapidly over the years, today achieving a yield of 80 tonnes of coffee cherry annually. The natural soil and forest canopy on these 1,000 – 1,200 meters above sea level slopes provide ideal shaded conditions and an average temperature of 28˚ centigrade to produce organic, pesticide-free coffee.
The coffees are shade grown, which are slow maturation producing extremely sweet cherries. This medium level roasted coffee gives you the caramel and sugary sweetness, and gives a very intense cup from Espresso extraction and complex flavor when brewed with filter pour over. All in all, the flavor complexity and long aftertaste are surprising.
